I’m a senior data scientist at Bundesdruckerei, Germany’s federal printing office, where I lead a project on evaluating large language models for the public sector and build LLM prototypes with federal ministries.
Before that I spent six years at the Quality and Usability Lab at TU Berlin. My doctoral thesis was about simulating conversations to predict how people perceive the quality of a phone call, and it received the Erhard-Höpfner-Promotionspreis. Along the way I served as an editor in ITU-T Study Group 12, which sets international standards for speech quality.
This site collects things I’ve written. Some of it is about work. Some of it is a sorting algorithm based on horoscopes. Outside of computers I play piano, sing a cappella and drink an amount of coffee that I once started tracking and then stopped tracking.
